IWGT 2026

GBA Group Pharma will participate in the 9th International Workshop on Genotoxicity Testing, IWGT 2026, in Edinburgh. The international workshop brings together leading experts from academia, industry and regulatory authorities to discuss current challenges and future developments in genetic toxicology.

The scientific programme focuses on the advancement of established testing methods, emerging testing strategies and their regulatory application. Key topics include the Liver Micronucleus Assay, optimisation of the in vivo Comet assay according to OECD TG 489, risk assessment of aneugens, quantitative approaches in genotoxicology, Error-Corrected Sequencing and in silico methods.

Interactive scientific panels will provide a platform for in-depth exchange between researchers, industry representatives and regulators. The workshop results are expected to be published and to support the further development of international testing and assessment strategies.
